Japanese Matcha Ceremony Demonstration

Japanese Matcha Ceremony Demonstration

$15.00

Has your experience with Matcha been limited to lattes? There’s so much more to know!

Join us for a special chance to see an authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony (chanoyu) ! Tea drinking is an essential part of Japanese culture that goes back thousands of years. Chu from the Urasenke Philadelphia group will demonstrate authentic Japanese Matcha preparation techniques, answer questions, and discuss how matcha fits into Japanese tea culture and history. Guests will be able to watch the ceremony, sample tea and snacks, and ask questions. Chu will also have some examples of traditional Matcha Chawans (bowls) for sale!

Please note that guests will not actually participate in the ceremony itself, but will observe, sample tea and snacks, and be able to ask questions.

We hope you will join us for this special event!

Sunday November 9th, 3-5 pm, Easton Public Market Community Room, 325 Northampton Street, Easton.

The Community Room in the Easton Public Market is towards the back of the space, in the area with the public kitchen and large seating area.
