Our studio is centered around our Hunter-Penrose intaglio press, perfect for pulling monoprint, woodblock, linotypes, drypoint, and other etching processes. A celebrated maker of printmaking supplies, Hunter-Penrose has been building fine presses since 1890. In addition to the press room, we also have our drawing/plateworking “morgue,” slop sink, cabinet space for supplies, and a separate drawing room with flat file. No experience is required and we welcome anyone with an interest in printmaking to come and say hello. Our press has a bed size of 28x48 inches. Originally consisting of a simple stone building dating to the early 19th century, and later expanded into a tenement house, Bull bought the property in 1878 and vastly expanded the structure into a luxurious home by 1886. The exquisite interior details reflect James and his wife Mary's considerable wealth and taste for the arts. Lovers of Victorian architecture and design will notice many Eastlake, Queen Anne, and Aesthetic touches in the mansion, including graceful wooden arches, delicate stained glass windows, and ornate cast metal fixtures, the vast majority of which are original and survive in excellent condition. The Bush & Bull department store was a fixture in downtown Easton until the 1930s, and at its peak contained over 35 departments and employed approximately 300 people. The mansion stayed in the Bull family until 1943, after which it passed through several phases, including a long tenure as a funeral home, a very brief tenure as a movie set, an eloquent turn as a piano concert hall, and as a witness to many births as well as deaths. After an extensive renovation and restoration project, it is now the home of ThreeBirds Coffee House. Co-working Room is designed for groups of friends and collaborators to get together for inspiration or chitchat over great coffee and tea. Our semi-private room has two large movable tables and stools for up to 12. We’d love to host your next book group, out-of-office meeting, or Catan Tournament! To reserve a time, check our calendar below, shoot us some quick info about your group, and send us the form to request your spot. We’ll contact you to confirm your reservation! Please note: There is no fee to reserve the room, however we do ask for a minimum of $8 per guest for conference table reservations. We will hold your table for 15 minutes before seating other guests. If you’d like to run a tab for your table, we can hold a credit card at the coffee bar. Default reservations are 1 hour. For longer times, please note the full length of time you’d like on your submission and reserve multiple consecutive slots.
